Carbon Care Asia was presented with a Carbon Reduction Charter by Mr Edward Yau, Secretary for the Environment of the HKSAR Government, on the First Anniversary of the “Green Hong Kong • Carbon Audit Campaign” held at the HK Convention Centre on 3 July, 2009. Its Director, Ms Rosanna Wong, represented CCA in receiving this Charter.

With “Low Carbon for Greener Future” as its theme, this event salutes the contribution by 107 enterprises and organizations from various sectors, which signed up voluntarily as the Environmental Protection Department (EPD)’s Green Partners last year in support of greenhouse gases emissions reduction.

To respond to government policies and calls for climate change mitigation, CCA has not only worked towards carbon reduction for its own operations in the previous year but also for its clients and partners. It provided carbon reduction plans and solutions for clients and helped them offset emissions created by various corporate activities and events.

To honour its pledge, CCA will continue to promote low carbon economy via its newly announced campaign Action 450K. With a clear and tangible target, the campaign will help spread the message of carbon reduction and carbon offset in Hong Kong for the creation of a low carbon community.
