At the CSR Lab-CSR Link, a regular thematic talk series organised by STR Responsible Sourcing Hong Kong and held on 27 July 2009, CCA’s Senior Environmental Consultant Ir Dr Shelley Zhou was invited as the guest speaker to share her knowledge and professional experiences on “Low Carbon Economy- Supply Chain Carbon Management”. Among the audience were corporate compliance officers, CSR managers and sustainability engineers from well-known international retail brands.

Ir Dr Zhou gave a detailed introduction on how carbon emissions can be measured, reduced and offset. She also explained how carbon management could play an important and strategic role in carbon reduction within commercial organisations, ultimately helping them to be better prepared for a low-carbon economy and the related challenges.
