Challenges and Trends
Energy use connected to the buildings and transport related to tourism and conferences is a growing concern to both attendees and holidaymakers. For the food and beverage sector, food waste is an issue in addition to energy use in terms of increasing regulation as well as customer expectations. Labour conditions for employees, and particularly for subcontracted services related to cleaning, security, gardening, catering and maintenance services are also a significant social issue for this sector.
