Sustainability Consultant / Associate Consultant (Carbon Management) – Hong Kong-based
The job duties include:
- Manage and execute carbon management projects, in particular carbon accounting or audits for companies and products;
- Conduct carbon accounting or verification and compile reports in support of the Company’s ESG and sustainability reporting service for clients in Hong Kong and overseas;
- Assist in the research and development of innovative consultancy services and solutions in carbon management, including strategic advice for carbon reduction, carbon credits and carbon emissions trading;
- Support the implementation, audit and verification of CarbonCare® Labels;
- Conduct research through information analysis, benchmarking and market studies for carbon-related products and services of the Company;
- Assist in the development of corporate training materials in the above arena;
- Assist in business development activities including business marketing, client networking and partnership building;
- Assist in the facilitation of related talks, workshops, webinars and other Company events.
The successful candidate shall possess the following skills & attributes:
- Tertiary education in multiple disciplines related to sustainability, climate change, environmental engineering / management or other relevant disciplines;
- Sound understanding of global sustainability & carbon management agenda, latest trends in international standards and practices, policies and regulatory regimes in Hong Kong, Singapore and Mainland China;
- Local or overseas professional qualification(s) in carbon auditing (e.g. ISO 14064) preferred;
- Well-organized and with good time management skills;
- Track record in innovative thinking and solutions development desirable;
- Self-motivated, able to work independently and also as part of a team;
- Excellent writing and communication skills in presentation and report writing;
- Proficiency in spoken and written English, Cantonese and Putonghua;
- Good computer skills for use in presentation, data analysis and documentation.
The requirement for a Sustainability Consultant is at least 1 to 2 years of relevant experience in sustainability / carbon management practice. Candidates with less experience but good potential will be considered for the Associate Consultant position.

Senior Sustainability Consultant – Hong Kong-based
The job duties include:
- Develop cutting-edge sustainability solutions for corporate clients in response to regulatory changes and global challenges;
- Lead a team of consultants to deliver effective solutions, including but not limited to ESG reporting, stakeholder engagement, green finance and sustainability roadmap;
- Cultivate local and international business network with senior executives and corporate leaders;
- Plan and execute strategic business development functions including market research and partnership building.
The successful candidate shall possess the following skills & attributes:
- In-depth knowledge on sustainable development and latest trends in international standards and practices;
- Solid experience in sustainability consultancy and good leadership skills;
- Proven track record in innovative thinking and solution development;
- Broad understanding of global sustainability and climate agenda and relevant policies in Hong Kong, China and Singapore;
- Tertiary education in sustainability, environmental engineering/ management, climate science or other relevant disciplines.
- Excellent writing and communication skills in presentation and public speaking;
- Fluent spoken and written English, Cantonese and Putonghua;
- Self-motivated, able to work independently and under pressure;
- A group leader with good team management skills and also a good team player;
- Proficiency in computer skills such as presentation software, data analysis and documentation.
Minimum 5 years of relevant working experience in sustainability consulting, carbon management, environmental management or related domains. Candidates of good potential but with less experience may be considered for the Consultant position.

Junior Consultant – Sustainable Finance & Climate Advisory
Location: Tokyo, Japan
Company: Climate Finance Asia Inc.
We are a sustainability and climate advisory firm working across Asia, headquartered in Hong Kong, with offices in Tokyo and Singapore. Our work spans green finance, ESG, Just Transition, climate policy, and sustainable development. We support leading development institutions, financial institutions, NPOs, and governments with technical studies, policy guidance, and green finance solutions.
As we expand our operations in Japan and the region, we are seeking a Junior Consultant for our Tokyo office to contribute to high-impact projects, especially in green bond verification and research-driven consulting services.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support the development and execution of consulting projects in green finance, ESG, and sustainable investment
- Conduct technical and market research, literature reviews, and benchmarking
- Assist in preparing client deliverables: reports, slide decks, and policy briefs
- Coordinate with regional and international teams on project delivery
- Contribute to business development (networking events, proposals, concept notes, stakeholder mapping)
- Help build internal knowledge systems and research archives
- Support administration actvities assigned by colleagues
Ideal Candidate Profile:
- Minimum 2–3 years of relevant experience in sustainable finance, ESG consulting, development finance, or climate-related advisory work
- Strong understanding of green finance instruments (e.g., green bonds, transition finance, climate risk disclosures)
- Fluent in Japanese and English, both written and spoken (N2 or higher level of Japanese language proficiency)
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a related field (e.g., Environmental Studies, Economics, Finance, Public Policy)
- Excellent writing and analytical skills; experience preparing professional reports or memos
- Familiarity with Japan’s financial and regulatory landscape is a plus
- Passionate about climate action, sustainability, and real-world impact
