The Carbon Neutrality Seminar hosted by CCA on 7 July, 2010 was very well received by 60 representatives from more than 20 leading companies and institutions of Hong Kong, most of whom senior executives from multinational companies. The keen response to this seminar, which focused on carbon neutrality in multi-dimensions, testified to the growing concern amongst the business community on climate change and its impact on business operations.
At the seminar, CCA Executive Director Dr Trini Leung and Senior Environmental Consultant Ir Dr Shelley Zhou spoke on the basic concept of carbon neutrality, its practices and the latest international standard PAS 2060. Local and overseas carbon neutrality case also went under examination and discussion. Ms Gigi Li, Regional Marketing Manager (Asia) of Fiji Waters, was special guest to the seminar. She shared with the participants the company’s successful experience in total carbon reduction and beyond. Fiji Waters claims to be the world’s only bottled-water company that goes beyond carbon neutral to carbon negative.
